Macular degeneration is responsible for the loss of fine vision and extreme light sensitivity. With new state of the art testing, we are able to determine the density of the pigment cells surrounding your macula to determine your potential risk for the disease. The pigment in your eye helps protect from harmful blue light exposure and the lower the pigment the less protection you get. While effects are permanent and irreversible, with proper management we can slow progression and lower your risk significantly if caught early.
